Devops Engineer
Web Cube is looking for a Devops Engineer! Come join our award winning team, and help us build the infrastructure for tools that will make building the web better!
We are looking for a special person who can help us build out and manage our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate be smart, friendly, and will know how to get things done. She will prefer automation to repetition and will never do something twice without making it better the second time.
Responsibilities
Make recommendations to senior staff regarding best practices and operational decisions.
Automate the administration and provisioning of cloud-based instances and clusters.
Instrument instances and services to gather metrics appropriate for operational performance improvements and billing.
Build good tools to empower other members of the team to handle their own deployment tasks.
Troubleshooting and fixing issues. You will have the support of the rest of the team!
Requirements
You must have a working understanding of Amazon Web Services.
You must have experience administering and provisioning many servers or clusters of servers using Puppet or Chef.
Helpful if you have programming experience in Python, Ruby or other interpreted scripting languages. If you have done useful stuff with boto or with Fabric in the past, we would love to hear about it!
You must speak bash fluently!
